2010 Girls Fall Softball
General Fall Softball Information:
For the Fall season, we participate in the Arapahoe Youth League. For more information on the league and the softball rules, please go to www.aylsports.net. Divisions are 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under. There may be two conferences in each age group based on level and ability. There is a minimum play rule and everyone bats. Players may play up with an older division with league approval. Our season runs concurrently with the high school softball season, so we encourage those in high school to contact the perspective school’s team. No high school students may play in this league.
The 8 and under division is coach pitch. Games are 6 innings or one hour and thirty minutes. This level is to introduce the girls to the game and to learn the fundamentals. There is an eight run per inning limit.
The 10 and under division is modified player pitch. There are no walks. If a pitcher reaches 4 balls, a coach from the hitting team will pitch up to 3 pitches. Please see the rules for the specifics. Pitching is being developed so there pitchers may not pitch more than nine outs per game. There is stealing including home. Games are 6 inning or one hour and thirty minutes long. There is an eight run per inning limit.
The 12 and under division is player pitch. Pitchers are limited to nine outs per game. Games are 6 innings or one hour and thirty minutes. There is an eight run limit per inning.
The 14 and under division has 7 inning games or one hour and thirty minutes. There is an eight run limit per inning.
