Girls Basketball
Cherry Creek Youth Sports (CCYS) 2009 – 2010 Girls Basketball Registration is now open and is available for 2nd through 5th graders. We are very excited to announce that the Arapahoe Youth League will be running the girls program this year! More information will be posted as it becomes available.
Registration:
The deadline for the early registration fee of $150.00 is October 20, 2009. Late registrations received after October 20th are not guaranteed placement on a team & may be placed on a waiting list. Also a $25.00 late fee is assessed to any registration accepted after October 20th. Players need to register for their current grade as of September 2009. There is a $25 fee assessed on all refund requests up until Nov 15. After Nov 15, 2009, there will be no refunds. If you are requesting to be on a particular team with an assigned coach, please note that information in the special requests area online. If you do not have an existing team to request, we will assign you to a team and you will be contacted by the coach or a representative of CCYS prior to the start of practices in December.
Games and Practices:
Girls basketball is an 8 game season. Games begin the first week in December & run thru mid February. Practice begins early November for all age groups and are usually held on weeknights. Please contact Danielle Gregson, Girls Basketball Commissioner at girlsbasketball@creeksports.com with any questions you may have.
Uniforms:
Uniforms will be available at Sports Authority Team Sports on County Line Road in November. Please wait to hear from your coach before purchasing your uniform. We cannot have duplicate jersey numbers.
Coaches:
The first coaches meeting has been moved to Oct 21, 2009 at the Koebel Library, Ballroom B at Holly and Orchard. The meeting will run from 7:00PM - 8:30PM. Coaches are required to attend all coaches meetings or send a representitive in their place. Head coaches are required to submit a Coaches Application by October 31 by email to treasurer@creeksports.com or by mail to CCYS, P.O. Box 4158, Englewood, CO 80155. If you have already coached another sport in 2009 and have submitted your application, you are not required to submit another one. All coaches need to contact the Girls Basketball Commissioner at girlsbasketball@creeksports.com if they are planning on coaching this year.
